The Association of the United States Navy (AUSN) gives active-duty service members and their families a voice on the direction of our Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard. Since its inception in 1954, AUSN has provided the naval community with legislative & policy advocacy, educational scholarships, and a quarterly NAVY magazine.
As a USMC Veteran and part of the Navy family I am proud to be a member of AUSN. My father became a member while I was in recruit training and remained one his entire life. I guarantee you will love the magazine and the amazing support AUSN provides its members.

In February 2021, Retired Green Beret Master Sergeant and Navy Veteran Jason Beardsley became the Executive Director of AUSN. Mr. Beardsley served as Special Assistant in the Office of the Secretary of Defense and as a Senior Advisor to the Secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs and Veterans Service Organizations Liaison. Mr. Beardsley frequently speaks on defense and Veterans’ issues, including TV appearances on Fox, CNN, and other television and radio programs, and speaking at national level events.
He has a 22-year career with the US military, including 15 years with Army Special Operations and Joint Special Operations. He is a recipient of two Bronze Stars for his achievements and sound judgment during sustained combat operations.

AUSN offers a safe harbor and powerful voice when advocating for the military community. Mr. Beadsley explains that “both active duty and their families struggle with sharing their ideas and frustration with their representatives. AUSN brings them a voice.”
I am excited to invite recruit families to join AUSN. We have so much to offer them as they begin their military journey.
– Jason Beardsley, Executive Director AUSN
AUSN’s NAVY magazine with updated format will be available in June for our members, “Our quarterly NAVY magazine brings attention to current Navy events, both in congress and the fleet. Each member receives a printed and electronic version.”
Since 2000, AUSN’s Scholarship Program has awarded more than $500,000 to undergraduate students who are members, children, and grandchildren of AUSN members and surviving spouses of deceased members. As a member of AUSN, you share in celebrating the success of our youth through our yearly awards and financial scholarships.
