It is always an honor to recognize our veterans for their ongoing support beyond active duty. Today we showcase Air Force veteran Mr. Alan Nunn.

Meet Mr. Alan Nunn. He has been part of the Recruit Training Command, Public Affairs team for four years as an award-winning editorial assistant and lead writer. He was recently named the RTC Junior Civilian of the Year. Mr. Nunn is an US Air Force veteran.

He also spent 41 years as a sportswriter and sports editor before coming to RTC and combining his two career paths.“It’s an honor to share the stories of RTC. Its mission is vital, and the sailors and staff that make it happen are an amazingly talented and committed group of people.” Away from boot camp, he enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and laughing with his wife, and their two dogs.

His hobbies include reading, going to concerts and coaching club girl’s soccer.He is one of those people who takes photos of our loved ones while they are in boot camp.
