Holiday for the Heroes ✈️

Serendipity is one way to describe my by-chance reading of a simple social network post by a stranger in November of 2019 (😳 has it been a year?) The LinkedIn post, shared by thousands, received international news media coverage and ultimately brought over 60 active duty Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Airmen, and Coast Guardsmen Home for the Holidays.

Ed officially formed his 501c3 Corporation (EIN#84-4439339) in May of 2020. All donations are 100% tax-deductible, and 100% of all donations fund airline tickets for heroes.

The author of the post and Holidays For The Heroes founder, Ed Roshitsh, is a US Air Force veteran, software company executive, author, and speaker. He has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for active duty and veteran military heroes through Holidays for Heroes and other charitable efforts targeted towards military causes.

U.S. Navy Sailor Cameron will be reunited with his pregnant wife for Christmas!

I commented on Ed’s post, offering my support as a military travel agent. My thought was, “how is this guy going to book all these tickets?”  Three months and 65 plus tickets later, it was apparent Ed had started something special. And I was honored Ed chose my military travel agency as his official partner. (listen to our podcast👇)

So far this year, Ed has funded 74 tickets with a goal of 100. If you know of an active duty service member wanting to fly home for the holidays, have them complete a request form to Ed.

Listen to a Be Au Sm podcast with myself and Ed – I am humbled to know Ed and be part of his amazing work!
